Happy 90th Nanna!

On Tuesday 16th June 2009 my grandmother turned 90! Quite an achievement! She is still pretty spritely and is all there mentally, so its always a pleasure to see her.

We took her out for lunch at Axis restaurant at the National Museum in Canberra, which had a lovely "modern Australian" menu. I think a good time was had by all. Nanna seemed especially chuffed by the whole day. After lunch we had a quick look round the museum before heading home for a rest and a cup of tea!

Since we were down in Canberra Paul and I decided to brave the elements and head over to Bruce Stadium. We got rugged up in our warm gear, fitting as many layers as we could under our respective jackets and headed down the road to the game.

It was a pretty entertaining match (perhaps more so as we were behind the goal posts at the end that saw most of the action)! So we were able to keep our minds off the cold for much of the game. The decision to also bring a blanket and my dad's sheepskin mittins turned out to be inspired as it made the 2nd half much more bareable.
