To celebrate our 1 year anniversary Paul and I headed to Q-station in Manly for the weekend. It was a great spot. We had a harbour view room, cooked breakfasts (we lost some bacon to an adventurous kookaburra), a short tour of some of the historical buildings on the site (which was very interesting), dinner at the Boiler house restaurant (where we were entertained by the residant possum), and the freedom to wonder all over the beautiful site. To top off the weekend we watched the sunset over the city from North Head on Saturday and over Pitwater from Barrenjoey on Sunday. A lovely weekend!

Passengers and crew interned at the quarantine station passed their time away by engraving details of their ship into the sandstone rock walls

(2nd Class) Q-station accomodation - we were staying in the block in the (left) background
