Wicked weekends (2)

Following up from our weekend at Jervis bay with Paul's friends (see below) we spent a weekend in Sydney with my friends.

Friday night and we had a long awaited catch up with Annalesie and David, heading to the different drummer for pre-dinner cocktails during happy hour - yum! before dinner at Darbour Indian restaurant. It was a great evening, though perhaps a few too many happy cocktails were consumed judging by how I felt early saturday morning!

After a leisurely saturday morning with late brunch we started to prepare for the evenings festivities. We were off to Gen's 30th spanish fiesta and needed to turn up with a touch of spain. I quickly found an outfit from my flamenco gear, but for Paul we needed something else... Paul decided he wanted to be a Bull, so we converted a christmas headband into bull horns, gave him a tie tail and a (non-pierced) nose ring! We definitely had our touch of spain covered when we arrived. Gen put on a great spread of spanish food with plenty of Sangria to go with it. I was a little more careful with my intake than the previous night so wasn't too shabby for Sunday morning...

where we headed to Amelia's 1st birthday party followed by lunch at Jen's celebrating Christine's brief (well maybe not so brief) return from the UK. Both parties had excellent food so we ended up extremelly full on Sunday night! It was lovely seeing Chris again after so long, and hopefully we will get to catch up a bit whilst she awaits her VISA.
