The Batu Caves - KL

After the conference I visited the Batu Caves, a Hindu temple complex with temples inside a number of large and small caves. To get to the main cave you have to climb 272 steps and negotiate your way past a large number of monkeys. I found them a bit scary, especially when they seemed to rush at you, but this was often towards others behind who had food for them.

Gold statue of Lord Murugan at the bottom of the steep climb.

Sunlight peeping in to the large cave housing an impressive temple, popular amongst those in Sari's!

Coming back down - the steps were pretty much as steep as they look!

Back in down-town KL and about to enter China Town - the place to go if you want cheap knock-offs of pretty much anything. Personally I preferred the Central Craft Market and did all my shopping there.
